Provide symptom relief. ● Inspect eye thoroughly, remove any remain- ing particulate matter by irrigation with water or wet cotton-tipped applicator. ● Continue eye irrigation with copious amounts of cool water for at least 15 min- utes and ensure that all parts of the eye have been irrigated. ● Administer eye anesthetic per standing order. ● Advise employee not to rub eye. ● Measure pH of tears, if litmus paper is available.
